“And to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4: 24

What does the likeness of God look like? How can we, in our sinful nature ever be righteous and holy? Certainly, it is a challenge, but not a more worthy replacement have I known. For the sinner has no other path but one upon which they might find salvation of their soul. There is no other path than Jesus Christ, for as He said, “I am the way”; so, we must follow.

As the Apostle Paul writes, “with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3 We are bound to Christ, and each other, and to each must become “Christ like” in all that we do. Each day we must keep His word near our hearts and upon our lips. Thanks be to God!

Brothers and sisters, let us become born again, and live a life anew in the light of Christ! As the Apostle teaches, “put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,” Ephesians 22. Break free from those wicked chains, and become who you were meant to be, a child of God and nothing else. A being of purity, and light, and love.

Your body is a work of beauty and it - like your soul, were created by God the Father, creator of all that is seen and unseen. He alone can know how all the wonders of creation have come together to your advantage. We are here to enjoy ourselves as much as possible, so that we might love all the more! Take care of that which has been entrusted to you. “We are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ.” Again, we are reminded to become as Christ, in all ways - not to be served, but to serve, not to hate, but to love all things created by God. This is our call! This is our great challenge! Thanks be to God!

 Yours in Christ,

 Brother M.
