You Are My Life

Lord, I wish that I could remember my arrogance, keep it in check, to keep my mouth from saying what I do not want to say whether or not I truly believe the words. I am not you. I only wish to serve you Lord; to follow your commandments which may seem easy, but my spiritual weakness is constantly evident to those around me, to myself, and to you, my Lord. Please forgive me.

Why will you not answer me, Lord? You said “Seek and you shall find. You said, “Knock and the door will be opened you.” You said, “Whatever you ask in my name, it shall be yours.” I desire to be your slave! Please put me to work!

I thank the Lord. I praise the Lord for all that He is and for all that I am. Thank you heavenly father, thank you. Forgive me for my insolence and irreverence. Forgive my corrupt human nature, help me to always remember where all things come from.

It is for you that I wish to work in the vineyard. You said the harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few. I beg you Lord Jesus, let me be a laborer. Please teach me and show me how to imitate you, so that I may please you, Lord. Forgive me if I do not know how to ask, or how to knock. Please show me the way. I am no authority on the mysteries of heaven and earth; I only wish that if my life and soul are part of the great symphony that is life on earth, and in heaven, and that other place, then let me, if I have a choice - choose to serve Christ Jesus! To follow and imitate HE who comes in the name of the Lord! To replace evil with good, and to let my good works show for the glory of God!

I trust in you Jesus - now and forever! I will do what you will. I will kneel at the foot of your cross and kiss your wounded flesh. I will love and help the needy and the poor. I will hope always that you will fill my heart and soul with your presence. Thanks be to God!

Yours In Christ,

Brother Michael
