My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The ministry began some years ago, but the real mission and the real goal of the ministry has finally come to fruition and I’m so glad to be posting in the blog space now. This space will be used for reflections of the various readings that we find throughout the year and reflections on the many different people that we minister to and meet on the road. All the good people of the United States who are followers of Christ and perhaps may have lost their way from time to time. It will be used to share with others the mission and the ministry as it unfolds and as we do the work of the faithful, as faithful servants to Christ.
My life changed in a dramatic way when, as a youth I was influenced by our Blessed Mother in a very profound and spiritual way, and perhaps at some time in the future, I’ll relay that experience in another post. I often tell people the story of my interaction with the Blessed Mother and it really has shaped my entire life and how I see human beings, and how we interact with each other and I’m very blessed and thankful that I did have the experience.
As I’ve traveled around for many years of my life speaking to other folks about the Gospel and Christ’s message much of that time has been spent in the Rocky Mountains and the west. Much of the work that I’ve done has been in that part of the country and I have been able to talk to people who are homeless, or inside jails, and mental institutions from time to time. I have visited with those who are ill or grieving the loss of a loved one.
It is always interesting just talk to people who are suffering and who have experienced difficult times in their lives and it’s just amazing to me every time I do reach out, how faithful they are even though they may be going through a rough patch. I’m always amazed at how God influences their lives and brings them around and gives them hope and allows them to understand that things will get better and that Christ is always with them as they are suffering. And really it is about Christ’s own suffering and how we can lean on Him as we are reminded of what he had to endure for all of us and our humanity.
It is with that, that I’m very glad and very honored to be able to work on the website, write on the website for others who may find the site or who I’m able to meet with out there on the road in different places. Maybe they can come to the website and read through some of the writings. I would like to invite others to write on the site in the future: fellow preachers, spiritual writers, biblical writers, and people who are interested in spreading the message of the Gospel and reaching out to the people of the world and in our case in the United States. There are so many people who have found themselves on a road that maybe they didn’t see themselves ever being on.
Maybe they’re experiencing homelessness, or extreme poverty, or depression, or loneliness, or all the above; which does happen quite often. I want to, in my own way, reach out to folks and just let them know that they are not alone and that we’re all here together and that we need to lean on each other, lean on Christ, and just remember that if we all look out for one another that our journey through life is easier and much better, and can be full of joy and peace if we allow the love of Christ to enter our lives.
I want to say God Bless everyone out there, and God Bless people who may find themselves on the website at some point in the future. It has been a long work in progress, but we finally got the site up and running and I’m very happy with it, it looks great. I’m extremely pleased and I hope that it grows, I hope that we have people who check in regularly for new posts and new writers and can just come to us if they need to have somebody to talk to, somebody to lean on. That’s what St. Anne Ministries is here for, that’s what we’ll continue to do, and I hope to hear from all of you out there at some time.
Yours in Christ,
Brother Michael
