Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today I come to you, again renewed in the spirit, as I am once again overjoyed to know that I can always turn to Christ Jesus when the world has seemed to darken the skies of the hearts of so many. Let me express feelings of hope, not sadness and spread love and forgiveness instead of fear and hatred for all that our Lord has created. Let me be a beacon of light to those whose hope has sprung no longer and instead give them the peace and hope that is Christ Jesus. Lord forgive me if I am unsure of my next days, and according to your will alone, do I set aside my own desires and seek your will as Jesus commanded.
We live in a modern world. This world, this society, this global village leaves much to be desired as it relates to consumerism and materialism. Jesus tells us to leave behind the material and to instead store up for ourselves “treasure in heaven.” Remembering that this writing is instructional for our understanding – I cannot claim to be other than, like many, only a seeker, who wishes to be a disciple of Christ, and thus a servant to our Lord. To take upon myself the study of Gospels and do as Jesus commanded: Honor your Father in heaven with all your heart, mind, and soul; and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Lord let me become an imitator of you. Fill me with your presence and guide my steps in the work I must do. I trust in Jesus, I trust in you and am saddened when I am swayed by the world of today – and see my weakness. Thanks be to God that I have found my way to you. Forgive me Lord when I am headstrong and worldly. Praise to you lord Jesus Christ!
Yours In Christ,
Br.M.
